Webinar: Beyond reconciliation: Meaningful actions for ally organisations

A panel discussion held on 28 May 2026

As workplaces around the country Wear it Yellow for Children’s Ground, we invite you to explore this year’s National Reconciliation Week theme: All in.

Following the historic, national Walk for Truth, we were grateful to host Kerrupmara Gunditjmara man Travis Lovett (former Yoorrook Justice Commissioner) for an online conversation with Children’s Ground Co Chairs William Tilmouth and Evelyn Schaber, moderated by Kon Karapanagiotidis OAM (CEO and founder of the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre).

We discussed:

  • Travis’s experience walking from Naarm to Canberra to call for a national truth-telling process
  • The role of businesses, philanthropists and philanthropic institutions in showing up for and alongside First Nations people
  • Whether the rise of organisations engaging in Reconciliation is making a difference in the lives of First Nations people, and what more is needed
  • The government’s current response to First Nations priorities

This webinar was held as part of Wear it Yellow 2026. Wear it Yellow is a fundraising campaign for First Nations children and families, held during National Reconciliation Week, 27 May to 3 June. It’s a way for you and your community to support Children’s Ground and learn more about First Nations history and culture during National Reconciliation Week.
