Children’s Ground is a First Nations organisation led by culture, language, and our First Nations knowledge systems.

We exist so our kids can grow up proud of their culture while walking confidently in a global world. Our families and communities are strengthened through an interconnected approach with culture, Country and language always at the forefront. 

Our children, families and communities live with injustice and disadvantage every single day.

The Children’s Ground Approach is creating a different future filled with possibility, opportunity, strength and justice. And it is working. 

Children’s Ground follows a strong vision, strategy, principles and values. We are building an evidence base through a 25-year longitudinal evaluation oversighted by national experts to create systems change. Children’s Ground was formally established in 2011 after decades of work in Central Australia and was incubated by the Australian Government.

We recognise the expertise of First Nations knowledge systems that have evolved over 65,000 years.

The talent and leadership in our communities inspire us. We integrate cultural knowledge with leading international practice to enable excellence in learning, wellbeing and development for everyone. 

We are the Elders, grandparents and parents who have been waiting to be heard and our solutions realised. We want a different future for our children.
