In the Top End of the NT, we work in the communities of Minmarama/Kulaluk, Knuckey’s Lagoon, 15 Mile and Marlkawo.
The Operations & Administration Assistant plays an essential support role in ensuring the day-to-day operations of the Top End office run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with the needs of staff, programs, and community. The role combines administrative, logistical, and practical responsibilities, and requires good planning, organisational, and communication skills.
This role supports team operations, facilitates inductions and office amenities, manages supplies and documentation processes, and contributes to a safe and welcoming office environment for staff and community. The role involves applying skills and knowledge gained through experience or qualifications and may include mentoring of junior staff.
You are a First Nations person who is a team player and is willing to get things done. You are an organised and practical person who enjoys helping others and making sure things run smoothly. You like keeping things tidy and well-stocked, setting up for meetings or events, and supporting your team wherever needed. You’re friendly, respectful, and comfortable working in a diverse and busy environment, especially with First Nations communities.
You’re confident using computers and common office programs, and you’re always willing to learn new things. You pay attention to detail, take initiative, and enjoy solving problems. You’re a team player who can also work on your own, and you take pride in doing your job well.
This is a part-time role that requires a commitment to work four hours per day Monday – Friday.
