Exciting opportunity for a dynamic, creative educationalist with experience in both Early Years and Primary School learning, to be part of the leadership of Children’s Ground Learning and Wellbeing approach. You will be part of a bold independent Not-For-Profit organisation creating a different future with children, families and communities experiencing the greatest levels of disadvantage and inequity in Australia. The role works closely and alongside Arrernte educators who are developing and implementing an Arrernte learning platform. Key responsibilities will include team leadership of the Learning and Wellbeing team, staff management and support, quality & risk management, financial/budget accountability, evaluation, monitoring and data management.NGO organisation.
The successful candidate will have recognised qualifications in Primary teaching or Early Years education with a minimum of 5 years teaching experience. Critical to the role is the ability to lead and organise a learning environment that suits different ages and abilities. Experience teaching children who are learning English as a second language and experience with First Nations communities. Candidate needs to have a deep understanding of the challenges facing First Nations Peoples and the strengths of First Nations Peoples. The role commands someone who has a passion for quality innovative learning and the ability to work flexibly in a demanding NGO organisation.
