As part of our Reconciliation Week this year, on Thursday 3rd June we will be encouraging all children and educators to take part in a yellow themed dress up day, to raise funds for a First Nations organisation, Children’s Ground.

The National Reconciliation Week theme for 2021 is ‘More than a word. Reconciliation takes action’. This theme encourages all Australians to take action, to achieve equality between First Nations and non-First Nations people. That is why Goodstart Minifie Park has chosen to participate in Children’s Ground’s ‘Wear It Yellow’ day. ‘Wear It Yellow Day’, will be just one day out of an entire week where children will engage with Reconciliation Week learning materials.

Children and educators who choose to take part are reminded to bring a gold coin donation and wear a touch of yellow. For more information on Children’s Ground, head to Children’s Ground – Organisation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children (childrensground.org.au)
