In a few months I will have the opportunity to explore the Larapinta Trail (235km) and will attempt to complete it end to end in one go. I have heard from so many people that this trail is pure magic and I am so excited to explore what so many have described as ‘the Heart of Australia’. In doing so I would love to raise funds for this charity doing amazing things for our next generation.
This year has brought to the forefront just how little I know about the traditional owners of the land I call home. I want to learn, to know better, to do better and pass on (& learn) together with my two little girls. I wanted to support a local charity through this adventure and I resonated whole heartedly with the approach and vision Children’s Ground withhold.
Their organisation also provide great resources that allow all of us to educate ourselves and also the future generations. I have already bought some amazing children’s books to read with my girls.
If you wish to support this adventure, please feel free to donate and to look at the Children’s Ground website and social media. Education and awareness is so valuable.
I’d like to acknowledge the Arrernte People, the traditional custodians of the beautiful trail I will be exploring.
